Freshman year - SSU

Golf was first introduced to my life when I was about three years old, my dad bought me a set of clubs and everything. I chose to dance instead and thought golf wasn't for me. I did dance, gymnastics, and soccer until I was about 12 years old. After my last soccer season, I decided that I did want to play golf, so my dad and I went and got a set of USGA Kids Golf clubs and I slowly started to pick up the game. 

Finally after playing a few rounds with my dad and practicing once in a while. I took almost a year off of all golf-related things. My dad talked to me about how in one year I was going to be entering high school and could play on the golf team if I put in the effort. 

After I had that conversation with my dad, I started to go up to the range at Trilogy Golf Course in Vistancia. I would go about four days a week. Eventually, summer came around and it finally hit me with the fact that I was going into ninth grade. I started to practice more often and even played in many LPGA Girls' golf tournaments around the Arizona valley. After a quick summer of hard work put into golf, I tried out for the Varsity Girls' Golf team in August. After the first day of tryouts, my hope was pretty low. But, after days two and three of tryouts, my hope came back and I ended up making the team as a freshman. I started to practice and play much more than I ever thought I was going to. I also started to play in USGA Golf tournaments, as I still do.
